The Wedding Party is the highest grossing Nigerian film ever, with great reviews for its pure entertainment value.  The movie revolves around the wedding of Dunni, a 24 year old art gallery owner and the only daughter of her parents. She is getting married to the love of her life, IT entrepreneur Dozie, the handsome son of Chief Felix and Lady Obianuju Onwuka. Although very much in love, the couple has taken a vow of chastity. So the wedding is more than tying the knot, it is also a first night together as a married couple. As their big day arrives, the couple’s lavish wedding plans turn into a nightmare where exes meet, parents fight, and guests walk-in uninvited. Between fierce attempts at matchmaking, the unruly behavior of some village guests and the wedding planner’s frenzy to make this the wedding of the decade, the audience is taken through a fast-paced emotional roller-coaster as Dunni faces uncertainties about her husband’s faithfulness. You begin to wonder whether Dunni and Dozie will get through their wedding reception amidst all the drama.

Sometimes bordering on the emotional, sometimes triggering roaring belly laughs, the film moves at a brisk pace with great costumes and star value to pack quiet a punch. A definite must-watch!
